Do any of these sound familiar?
Imagine...
Three days without emails. Without notifications. Without the pressure to always be “on.” Instead, imagine waking up in the jungle, moving your body, sharing meaningful conversations, watching unforgettable sunsets, and rediscovering what it feels like to be fully present. When you leave Alaya, your phone will still be waiting—but you’ll return with something far more valuable: clarity, energy, and a renewed connection with yourself.
Who this retreat is for
What You’ll Leave With
Alaya wasn’t created as a hotel that later decided to host retreats. It was born from a much deeper vision: to create a place where people could pause, reconnect, and experience genuine transformation.
Behind Alaya is a team whose paths have been shaped by both personal challenges and years of professional practice. Among the founders are former corporate leaders who experienced burnout, entrepreneurs who chose a different way of living, and wellness practitioners who have dedicated years to helping others reconnect with themselves.
Together, our facilitators bring decades of experience in meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, Reiki, energy healing, Ayurvedic practices, personal development, coaching, and transformational work. More importantly, they don’t simply teach these practices—they have lived them.
We believe transformation doesn’t happen because of a technique. It happens when knowledge is combined with authenticity, compassion, and a safe space where people feel truly seen.
That is the spirit of Alaya.

💚 Presence
I’ve been doing psychotherapy for the past 10-11 months in Geneva. Looking: for answers, support and changes. In only 6 days, I’ve felt more change than ever; I’ve received MANY more answers than expected and I am finally going through the transformation I was looking for.
Thank you

I’ve attended personal development workshops before, but nothing compared to this stay at Alaya. It wasn’t about being told what to think—it was about creating the space to truly listen to myself. In just five days, I left with more clarity, deeper connections, and practical tools that I continue to use every day. This wasn’t just a retreat; it was a reset.
Thank you

Cristian Juncos
Certified Mindfulness and Yoga instructor
With over five years of experience guiding retreats, programs, and workshops across Argentina, Europe, and Central America.
His path into contemplative practice began long before formal certifications. After leaving a decade-long corporate career in Argentina, Cristian spent several years traveling and learning directly from Asian masters — sitting with monks in Myanmar, studying Tibetan Buddhism in Dharamsala, practicing Zen in India, and immersing himself in Theravada and Vipassana traditions across Southeast Asia.
Building on that foundation, he trained formally through the MBSR program (Jon Kabat-Zinn tradition, Level 2) and completed the two-year Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach — a lineage rooted in secular mindfulness with deep Buddhist roots. He is also trained in Mindful Communication and Nonviolent Communication with Oren Jay Sofer, and holds a 200-hour Yoga Teacher certification. Alongside his teaching and daily practice, he continues to dedicate regular periods of up to one month to silent retreats — a ongoing commitment to deepening his understanding from the inside out.
His teaching weaves together mindfulness meditation, mindful movement, and conscious communication — creating spaces where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and rediscover a simpler, more present way of living.
Cristian teaches in English, Italian and Spanish.
Sol
Transformational & Holistic Coach
Originally trained in hospitality management at the prestigious École Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL), Sol began his career creating exceptional guest experiences before dedicating his life to the study of human wellbeing and transformation.
Over the years, his journey has taken him across Central America, Southeast Asia, and India, where he deepened his practice of yoga, meditation, Ayurveda, bodywork, and embodied awareness. Alongside this somatic path, he has spent years studying psychoanthropology, exploring how unconscious patterns, relationships, and life experiences shape the way we live, connect, and grow.
Today, Sol brings these disciplines together into one holistic approach. Through movement, meditation, bodywork, conscious dialogue, and immersive experiences, he creates safe spaces where people can reconnect with their bodies, quiet the mind, open the heart, and rediscover what truly matters.
As co-founder of Alaya, his vision is to combine exceptional hospitality with meaningful human experiences, creating retreats that guests don’t simply remember—but genuinely carry home with them.
